Company Profile:

Eddie Holik graduated from Texas A&M University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture.  He established his own landscape company while attending the University.  From 1995 to 2005 he was the Head Horticulturist at the Cockrell Butterfly Center in the Houston Museum of Natural Science.  In 2005, he was promoted to the Director of the Cockrell Butterfly Center.  Mr. Holik continued his landscape business as a side job while working at the Cockrell Butterfly Center.  In 2010, he decided to retire from the Cockrell Butterfly Center to focus completely on his landscape business, Florascapes.  Mr. Holik is an avid plant enthusiast who is always looking out for the unusual.  Mr. Holik traveled abroad during his tenure at the Cockrell Butterfly Center on various plant collecting trips through Central & South America including: Ecuador, Panama, Peru, Costa Rica, Belize and the Monarch Migration in Mexico.  Mr. Holik also is a noted speaker with various topics to include:  Butterfly Gardening, Biological Control in Gardens and Greenhouses, Butterfly Farming, Promoting Integrated Pest Management, Amazon Natural History and Tropical Plants.
